Our library is an incredible collection of books, documents and resources of all kinds. The students are more than welcome to come and peruse such knowledgeable and creative treasures!

Horaire / Schedule
Heures d’ouverture : La bibliothèque est ouverte au moins deux jours par semaine pendant la récréation du matin, tous les jours au dîner (programmation et robotique) et jusqu’à 15 h 30 après l’école.
Hours of Operation: The library is open at two days per week at morning recess, every day at lunch (coding & robotics) and after school until 3:30pm.

Pendant combien de temps puis-je les garder ?
Les livres seront à remettre ou bien à renouveler avant deux (2) semaines. La plupart des élèves les ramènent durant leur temps de bibliothèque.

How Long Can My Child Keep Their Book(s)?
Library resources are often due within two (2) weeks of signing them out. Students are more than welcome to check-out the same book(s) consecutively. Most students will bring their items back during their scheduled library time.
Livre(s) perdu(s) / Lost or Damaged Library Book(s)
Les élèves sont responsables des livres qu’ils sortent de la bibliothèque scolaire. Si un livre est perdu, ou bien est endommagé, l’élève sera responsable de son remplacement en versant les frais nécessaires. Dans le cas d’un livre en retard, l’école ne chargera aucune amende. Cependant, si le livre est endommagé ou bien irréparable, une amende sera nécessaire. Les paiements peuvent se faire en argent comptant (dans un enveloppe scellé) ou en envoyant un chèque au nom de MAZO DE LA ROCHE PUBLIC SCHOOL.
Livres perdus – Si un livre “perdu” est retrouvé après avoir déjà payé son remplacement, le prix sera remboursé dès qu’il soit retourné à la bibliothèque et SI sa condition est bonne.
Livres endommagés – Un livre est considéré comme étant “endommagé” s’il est retourné à la bibliothèque dans un état déplorable OU s’il ne peut ni être réparé, ni retourné en circulation. Ces dommages peuvent inclure l’eau, l’écriture à l’intérieur du livre, les déchirures, les pages manquantes, la page couverture endommagée. La bibliothécaire déterminera si le livre peut être réparé ou non. Si non, ou si l’ouvrage est demandant, l’élève payera son remplacement.
Students are responsible for the books they check out from the Mazo de la Roche Library. If a book is lost, or damaged the student will be responsible for paying the full replacement cost of the book. While we do not charge fines for late books, we do charge if a book is irreparably damaged or lost. To make a payment, send cash in a sealed enveloped or make a cheque payable to MAZO DE LA ROCHE PUBLIC SCHOOL.
Lost Books – If a “lost” book is found after the replacement cost has been paid, the student will be reimbursed the cost of the book after it has been returned to the library if it is in good condition and can be returned to circulation.
Damaged Books – A book is considered “damaged” if it is returned to the library in a condition that requires extensive repair OR is unable to be repaired and cannot be returned to circulation. Examples of damaged books include but are not limited to, water damage, writing on the inside of the book, torn and or missing pages, and/or damaged to the outside of the book. The teacher-librarian will determine if the book can be repaired or not. If not, or if the repair work is extensive, the full replacement cost of the book will be charged to the student.
Livres en retard / Overdue Books
De temps en temps, des lettres ainsi que des factures seront envoyées à la maison. Nous encourageons fortement aux parents de vérifier les sac-à-dos et les agendas de leurs enfants.
Overdue notices and bills for lost books will be sent home periodically with your child. Please check backpacks and agendas for overdue notices.
