The French Scholastic Book Fair was a roaring success! Thank you for promoting a love of reading, and supporting this important literary event. Your support is key in helping us obtain new books and resources for our library and classrooms.

Staff and students came in droves to look through books for all ages, and many took the opportunity to create helpful wishlists. Several families also came to visit either after school or on family-conference night, eagerly tackling some much needed holiday shopping (books make wonderful gifts!)

This was without a doubt, our most successful book fair to date. Total sales were just over $9 300, which includes over $5 200 in new books for the Mazo library, as well as the Literacy Room and classrooms! The students are already reading some of our newest titles!

A VERY special thank you to our incredible volunteers: Mme Altcheh, Mme Madeley’s mom, and a number of library helpers… without you, the book fair would not have been as great a success!

The winner of the fair draw was a student in Mme Brudnoy’s class. He has won $25 in Scholastic books for his family, as well as $25 in books for his classroom.

Once again, thank you for supporting this great literary fundraiser… and thank you for believing in books and the importance reading has on your child’s future.
